The aim of this pamphlet is to educate its readers about the environmental issues at the Conowingo Hydroelectric Dam on the Susquehanna River. The pamphlet is meant to fold down to a small 8.5 x 5.5 inch size in order to maximize space and give readers levels of depth on the issue. The first spread is relatively straight forward, not a lot of hard numbers until you open up to the main spread.
The layout of the entire pamphlet is supposed to help guide the user through some of the main issues at Conowingo. The typeface and yellow is based upon the sign that is found on the power plant side of the dam. The blue itself is meant to provide a cooling contrast to the yellow leading line.
The photography found in this flyer is meant to convey the somewhat somber tone as this is quite a serious environmental issue. Once you open the pamphlet though, it grows into something that is still serious, but with images to help convey things like scale and cost.
